A short list of things you’ve probably been anxiously awaiting: the new Ghostbusters reboot, the Red Line, and, of course, the new “JAsk Me Anything” series—where we ask our Junior Analysts (JA)..anything.
Without further ado, get to know the Perfect Search Junior Analysts Amina Mehmood and Erica Kotsovos.

1) Where are you from? Describe one of your favorite places to visit when you're home.
I was born in Chicago and grew up in Des Plaines. There isn’t much to do there (being a suburb and all) but my favorite taco joint of all time is Las Asadas in downtown Des Plaines. They know me on a first name basis since I would stop by at least a couple times a week.
They’re the closest thing to authentic Mexican food with juicy carne asada, tender lengua tacos, and homemade aqua de horchata. There was a time where I ate it just about every day for dinner (my parents were away on vacation) and I still never got sick of it and probably never will.
2) If you could get coffee with any historical figure, who would it be and why? What do you think his/her coffee order would be?
There are too many to choose from. I would list a few novelists or painters I’m obsessed with but they were all either manic depressives or suffered from some other major psychological disorder. So unless they were heavily medicated, coffee and a public surrounding probably wouldn’t be the most fun thing to do.
I think I would have to stick to a musician, and Jimi Hendrix comes to mind. I don’t peg him for a coffee drinker, I think he’d be more of an herbal tea guy (but I love herbal teas, so no worries).
We’d probably sip on some pomegranate green tea and get to know each other. Not only would I want to hear him fiddle around with his guitar while he’s answering my questions, but I’ve read on many different occasions that he just had a great energy about him. I would love to see if it’s true and talk endlessly about life.
3) Pretend you can throw the biggest party imaginable. You have an unlimited budget. What's the venue? Who's invited? What's on the menu? Any performances?
Well, if the budget is unlimited I would invite my family and friends and would tell them to invite their friends, and their friends’ friends as well. This way everyone would be comfortable and have people to talk to. I would probably have it somewhere on a beach where loud music and concerts are permitted, so maybe Ibiza? Any beach along the Mediterranean would be amazing.
I would probably have an eclectic menu of all my favorite dishes from various countries including: Pakistan, Poland, Italy, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Greece, Iran, and of America. Basically, the menu would include anything from carne tacos to Pakistani lamb plao. There would be lots and lots of food!
4) What are the most important things you've learned about digital marketing so far?
Knowing and understanding your client and their needs is number one. At the end of the day we want to successfully grow their business, and we can only achieve this by understanding their business and services or products offered.
Also, being on top of changes that occur in the field is crucial. Digital marketing and everything else in the digital field is constantly updating and changing. Understanding how these changes affect you and ways in which to apply them are keys to staying successful in the industry.
5) Is there anything that's surprised you about digital marketing?
THERE’S SO MUCH DATA! I knew going into the field you can find out a lot about people, their habits, and their interests, but it still ceases to amaze me.

1) Where are you from? Describe one of your favorite places to visit when you're home (ie: a park, restaurant, etc).
I’m from Naperville, Illinois. My favorite place to visit when I’m home is the Riverwalk in downtown Naperville. I’ll usually stop by Cookie Dough Creations while I’m walking to pick up my fave cookie dough and ice cream combo.
2) If you could get coffee with any historical figure, who would it be and why? What do you think his/her coffee order would be?
Audrey Hepburn because she was a fashion icon for women and because I love Breakfast at Tiffany’s! She would probably order a classic Iced Espresso Vanilla Latte.
3) Pretend you can throw the biggest party imaginable. You have an unlimited budget. What's the venue? Who's invited? What's on the menu? Any performances?
An amazing beach in Hawaii. Homeboy Zac Efron will have to be there. And then the regulars… i.e. Ryan Reynolds, The Hemsworth Brothers, and of course a bachelor fan favorite Jordan Rodgers. Oh and also, T-Swift will roll up with her squad.
The meal will be tater tots and waffle fries and the desserts will consist of cheesecake, red velvet cake, various flavors of cookie dough, and cake batter remix ice cream from Cold Stone.
4) What are the most important things you've learned about digital marketing so far?
Listening to your client and understanding the client’s end goal is very important. It really helps to understand the end goal when you are building and optimizing an account. I’ve also enjoyed learning about pivot tables and EOS.
5) Is there anything that's surprised you about digital marketing?
Two main things: 1) how involved you have to be with the client’s account on a day-to-day basis and 2) the amount of keywords that can be uploaded into one account.
