We're not going to talk about Chicago summer yet. We don't want to jinx it. We will, however, talk at length about our Junior Analysts in our latest round of interviews!

1) What are the best things to do in your hometown?
I'm from Lanzhou, China—yeah, I know you've never heard of it. It's a small city with no subway system, and really not so much of a tourist destination. You have to try the beef noodles though. Just pick a random street corner spot and you won't be disappointed. Besides that, you should probably just chill with me :)
2) What's your favorite digital marketing task so far? What's something you're excited to learn more about in digital marketing?
I've been really enjoying the meta data optimizations so far. The whole process of getting to know a client, starting a keyword research and incorporating all the information into the website optimizations has been super fun and rewarding. I'm excited to learn more about A/B testing and customer journey mapping and how they can improve the users' experience on the sites.
3) Name one brand's digital marketing strategy you admire. What do you think they're doing well?
I have been fascinated by Spotify's digital marketing strategy. I think they are truly innovative in their channel strategy, like partnering with Hulu and Tinder, and their use of data, like with the United States of Music. They have made music part of people's cultural identity, both digital and in real life.
4) Now that it's *finally* warming up in Chicago, what are your favorite warm weather activities?
Running outside, or really just staying outside for as long as I'm happy to without freezing.

1) What are the best things to do in your hometown?
I live in Mission Viejo, CA which is right next to the Saddleback Mountains. Normally, I go hiking or mountain bike riding and then finish that off with a trip to Cook's Corner, a small dive bar with really good spaghetti.
If you're in Orange County though, I definitely recommend exploring the beach cities (Manhattan, Venice, Laguna, Capistrano) because there are so many hidden treasures if you take the time to get off of PCH.
2) What's your favorite digital marketing task so far? What's something you're excited to learn more about in digital marketing?
I really like how Perfect Search Junior Analyst work is in the sweet spot of being both analytical and creative. The training covered everything really well and I'm excited to learn more about the customers. I'm really interested in A/B testing because I think it's cool how small changes can make a big difference in client accounts.
3) Name one brand's digital marketing strategy you admire. What do you think they're doing well?
One company’s campaign that I find interesting is Dominos. A few years back they were considered just another pizza delivery company that could be comparable to Papa John's, Pizza Hut, etc. Now they are becoming an extremely tech-friendly company and capitalizing on the fact that consumers know their name.
They have made ordering simple by incorporating cross-interface interactions such as Twitter, Amazon Alexa, Slack, and Messenger. This goes beyond the message broadcasted through search by eliminating the need for a consumer to even search for "fast-delivery pizza."
4) Now that it's *finally* warming up in Chicago, what are your favorite warm weather activities?
I love warm weather in Chicago because everyone is just so happy to be in the sun. There are always fun street festivals going on like bluegrass, concerts in Millennium Park, or BBQ kickbacks. Also, Cubs games are warmer and it becomes more acceptable to eat fro-yo. This summer I really want to visit the Michigan sand dunes and slide down them!

1) What are the best things to do in your hometown?
I'm from Colorado Springs, CO, home of the Air Force Academy, Olympic Training Center, and every suburban chain restaurant you can think of. If you're here during nice weather, check out Garden of the Gods—it's a beautiful park tucked right in the mountain foothills. Great intro to easy hiking!
2) What's your favorite digital marketing task so far? What's something you're excited to learn more about in digital marketing?
With the Facebook and Cambridge Analytica scandal being at the forefront of the news, I have found it especially interesting to learn about the details of social advertising and how the new policies will affect our clients.
Outside of social media, I've enjoyed learning about all things technical, especially how elements like meta descriptions and status codes can affect a website's ranking in an organic search.
3) Name one brand's digital marketing strategy you admire. What do you think they're doing well?
I really like Airbnb's strategy. They emphasize that their brand is for everyone by featuring photos on social media taken by hosts and guests and by sharing local travel guides. It really gives a cool, personal touch to tourism.
4) Now that it's *finally* warming up in Chicago, what are your favorite warm weather activities?
I love hiking (how Coloradan of me), going to restaurants with an outdoor patio, and just walking around the city. When the lake finally warms up, I like heading to the beach and jumping in!

1) What are the best things to do in your hometown?
Oakland's a really colorful city and I'm still discovering new things there all the time. There's a gorgeous lakefront if anyone fancies a walk and there's good food on every street corner. Seriously, you can get any cuisine you can think of within city limits.
2) What's your favorite digital marketing task so far? What's something you're excited to learn more about in digital marketing?
My favorite task so far has been coming up with blog topics because I'm a writer at heart and pitching is something I like to do but don't often get to. I'm excited to learn more about the technical side of things.
3) Name one brand's digital marketing strategy you admire. What do you think they're doing well?
I really like Glossier's strategy because it seems like they're everywhere. No matter where I go, a Glossier ad follows me.
4) Now that it's *finally* warming up in Chicago, what are your favorite warm weather activities?
I really like going to the beach and just being outside when it’s nice. Millennium Park is beautiful when the sun's setting.
